LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dec. 23, 2008–The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) established its first Casa Herbalife program in Ukraine through a partnership with Garmoniya, a center for orphan children, in Kharkov.

Garmoniya is currently home to more than 60 children, aged from infants to 17 years old. Founded in 2001, the orphanage is focused on providing a safe living environment for the children.

The Casa Herbalife grant will help to subsidize the orphanage’s annual food bill, and will provide funds for improving and updating kitchen facilities and appliances.

This is the 38^th Casa Herbalife program to be established worldwide. After an initial grant from HFF, local Herbalife Independent Distributors and employees support the program through volunteerism and fundraising.

HFF is a 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation dedicated to improving children’s lives by helping organizations provide healthy nutrition to children at risk. Additionally, HFF often supports relief efforts in response to natural disasters.
